As the scenes of Dus Ka Dum wraps up on television screens throughout the country, people seem to have noticed how Lara was apparently given the cold shoulder by Salman in the latest episode featuring Rani Mukherji, Rakhi and Lara Dutta. Rani and Rakhi seemed to be totally in place, while Lara absolutely didn’t fit in right. Sallu targeted all his one liners towards Rakhi and Rani, and Rani seemed to get back into the show in spite of his rebuttal of her Salman-Shah Rukh friendship suggestion. Why the cod shoulder for poor Lara? Well people say it’s because of her proximity to the SRK camp! Bollywood, grow up won’t you!

After the special trial screening of Bipasha Basu’s latest flick Bachna Ae Haseeno, she called a select group of people and her friends to have a spicy after party at her place. Apparently this was to catch up with firends after a long time and that there was a lot of things to talk about! Read gossip! Women will be women! Boyfriend John Abraham was absent, and thats one big question raiser as well Either ways, Bips seemed to have had a lot of things against her co star of the film and real life lover of Ranbir Kapoor, Deepkia Padukone. She seemed to grab every opportunity to spew venom in Deepika’s direction, and this went on to such a level that it was pretty clear to most guests what the whole thing was about, and who hated whom more! So much so, people actually became uncomfortable after a point ! Bips really needs some anger manageent classes now doesn’t she?

Looks like our Bollywood Kareena Kapoor has learnt a few lessons about simplicity from the behaviour and character displayed by none other than the king of action, Rambo himself! That’s right; Kareena Kapoor seems to be just bursting with positive comments about the muscle man. According to her, she was shocked to see how a man of his statute and level, came for shooting at the sets without anyone, no make up man, assistants spot boys, none at all. She also accepted how she felt sheepish to have all of these guys in her entourage of hers! Bollywood sure can take a few lessons from the Hollywood beefcake, she feels.

After delivering a stunning performance as an actor with little experience in the field, Soha Ali Khan has lived up to expectations and made everybody proud!, what with her down to earth and perfected performance on the sets of Mumbai Meri Jaan. According to Soha, who plays a TV journalist in the film, she was so affected by it, especially since at one point she wanted to become one in reality! Apparently, she has gained a great insight into the troubles and hassles faced by TV journalists and the media in general and how they get flak for everything they do from everyone. She even goes on to say that she understands why a journalist actually asks intriguing and personal questions at times and how TRP ratings can make or break one’s media career.

God Tussi Great Ho, starring Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan and Manisha Koirala seems to be a good remake of the Hollywood laugh riot Bruce Almighty, but doesn’t seem to do the trick the way the Americans managed to! The entire movie has a light feel factor, with Amitabh, Salman and others all performing to their capacity. Piggy Chops doesn’t have a great presence in the film, though her glam sham does add to the quotient. The music is disappointing, the climax is boring and the comedy itself is disproportionately arranged, with the first half being clearly funnier than the second. The director seems to have spent more of his time and effort in directing the film rather than in building the script. This, one can clearly see in the film. Its a bare okay. For those who have seen Bruce Almighty, this doesn’t even come close. For others, they’d probably like it a lot.

Maan Gaye Mughal E Azam is a movie that features a small time unsuccessful drama and theatre company based in Goa and their successful attempt in foiling the bomb blasts that shook the country in 1993 post the communal riots. The movie seems to be heading nowhere, with Rahul Bose giving a below expectation performance and Mallika Sherawat simply not entertaining the audience with her hips and gyrating movements. The movie gains pace when the actors in the group figure out the plans of an underworld gangster to plant bombs in the country. And hence Kay Kay menon plays a ghazhal singer and he actually turns out to be the baddie in the film, while Paresh Rawal plays Mallika’s husband (weird, but true!). The movie just barely manages to keep the audience alive and breathing by the end of the show and the director could have rather just done nothing with the script and taken an entirely different movie altogether.

Maan Gaye Mughal E Azam is a crazy movie. Whether the directors and actors are crazy, one cannot guarantee. The fim does drive the audience crazy though. And that is not a compliment to the film. Maan Gaye Mughal E Azam is a comedy that is targeted at a theatre company’s successful attempt in foiling the 1993 bomb blasts. The name of the film goes back to the name of the play that the theatre company repeats due to their great lack of popularity. At the end of the day, it seems like the film falls suit with the theatre company’s entertainment quotient. Rahul Bose has nothing impressive up his sleeve and one really does get fed up with Mallika’s cleavage and hip curves in the film. Kay Kay Menon looks totally out of place in his character. Paresh Rawal seems to be the only saving grace of the film, doing his role to perfection. A story that portrays small time actors that are nothing in the real world as high time heroes when they save the country. The director has mixed love, romance, patriotism and a lot more to make this movie unbearable.
