Aamir khan recently became emotional at his visit to Chennai where he accepted the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Endowment Award, for his work in the sensational film Taare Zameen Par. Film and small screen ace director K. Balachander was all praise for the perfectionist Aamir at the award function before the award was given away, and he praised Aamir in such beautiful words that Aamir actually broke down, lock, stock and barrel in front of everybody and was full of appreciation for everything. Aamir Khan is known to keep his presence rare and slim as far as award ceremonies and film fare functions are concerned, but Aamir made sure he made it for this one, because according to him, the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Endowment Award is one that is truly prestigious and recognizes the artiste for performance and not anything else. Aamir said he was a fan of the award and wished every body luck, as he clarified that Taare Zameen Par would indeed be released in Tamil and Telugu so that everybody could enjoy the lovely film that it was!
