Mumbai Meri Jaan – Story

In the ear 2006 on July the Eleventh, Mumbai’s lifeline, the train service for the uninformed, was struck and devastated by a series of bombs that rocked the city and shocked the nation. Nishikant Kamaths’ Mumbai Meri Jaan explores the explosions as he traces out how five different people, from different walks of life are affected in entirety by these bomb blasts.
How Soha, a successful broadcasting journalist is turned by the train of events, how a top cop retires at the prime peak of his career, a rookie cop struggling to cope at the beginning of his career, a short tempered unemployed youth searching for a job, a patriotic corporate businessman, right down to a coffee vendor that struggles to make ends meet and survive, forms the crux of the movie.
Nishikant has tackled and touched all strata of Mumbai’s diverse society, and has not left a single door unopened with this venture.
